Comstock Armory was founded in 2021 during the COVID pandemic by Nathan and Bret Comstock. Firearms at the time were in low supply, so we decided to make our own with a focus on high-end custom builds, as well as providing a wide range of in-house services like NFA engraving, CNC slide optics cuts, and transfers/sales for local customers.
Demand for suppressors and suppressor accessories exploded which made procuring our favorite Plan-B muzzle devices challenging and created a bottleneck for our rifle builds. Looking at all of the options on the market, we felt like there were multiple areas that we could improve, so once again we decided to launch our own line.
Since the precision turning work required for suppressor mounts is very different from our in-house CNC mill, we considered the pros and cons of making vs buying. Benchmarking others in the industry like Q and Dead Air, we ultimately decided to work with domestic manufacturing partners so we could focus our efforts on design, distribution, customer service, and more.
